Dick Bauhof and Gordon Muir began their partnership in 1967 on just a handshake. For the past 49 years they have worked as the dynamic
duo – Dick as one of the top minds in the insurance industry and Gordon as a master
with client relationships. Their motto “As good as the best and better than the rest” has stood the test of time. While some partnerships last, very few make it to this milestone.

Richard M. Bauhof, CLU, ChCF - Principal
Richard M. Bauhof, CLU, CHFC has over 50 years’ experience in the life and health insurance business. He received the Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1967 and was among the first group which received the Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 1982. He has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table for 35 years, having first qualified in 1968, and he has qualified for the National Quality Award for 34 consecutive years.
Dick was the 1988-89 President of the Detroit Chapter of the American Society of CLU & ChFC (now known as the Society of Financial Service Professionals), and in 1999, he received the Huebner Service Award from that organization in recognition of his substantial contribution to professional life underwriting. He is a past president of the Life Insurance Leaders of Michigan and was also the 1993-94 President of the Greater Detroit Association of Life Underwriters (now known as the Greater Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors). In 1995, he received from that organization the prestigious E.H. “Bill” Meyers Award for outstanding service to the life insurance industry.
Dick also served as the 1998-99 President of the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Detroit, and in 2003, was nominated to the Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame.

Gordon J. Muir, LUTCF - Principal
Widely recognized as a national leader in the insurance industry, Gordon J. Muir, LUTCF is the recipient of innumerable awards, including the honor of life membership in his profession’s most prestigious societies.
Gordon is a life member of National Life of Vermont’s President’s Club, life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a life member of the Life Insurance Leaders of Michigan. He has qualified for 43 consecutive years’ membership in the Million Dollar Round Table. He has received the National Quality Award from the National Association of Life Underwrites for 39 consecutive years. In 1976, 1981, 1982 and 1983 Gordon was named “Man of the Year” by the Greater Detroit Life Underwriters Association (now known as the Greater Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors). Sherri L. Muir - Empowered Wealth Ambassador & Vice President of Marketing
Sherri L. Muir joined Sierra Consulting Services, LLC as the Director of Marketing in 2012.
Sherri is a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She also holds Certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in Personal Training, Corrective Exercise, Nutrition, Senior Fitness and Women’s Fitness.
Sherri was a Principal in Globalvision Systems, Inc., one of the original internet ISP companies in the Midwest. She helped build the company’s success, allowing it to be sold in a multimillion dollar buy-out in 1999.
After the sale of Globalvision Systems, Inc., Sherri focused her passion into the areas of fitness and nutrition. She has been the Director of Group Fitness at the Athletic Club of Overland Park, served as a Group Fitness Instructor at Lifetime Fitness and has personally trained numerous men and women back to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Sherri, after having three children, competed in regional figure competitions in the Midwest, placing fourth at the 2002 NPC Ozarks Figure Championships and fourth at the 2003 NPC Overland Park All Natural Figure Championships. She showed amazing dedication to health and fitness, considering she was competing against women a decade younger.
Showing this same dedication to improving the lives of others, in 2013, Sherri joined with her husband James in traveling the nation providing high quality estate, business and charitable planning services to high net worth and high income professionals and business owners.
Sherri is one of a hand full of Certified Empowered Wealth Ambassadors. Empowered Wealth Ambassadors are those individuals and organizations who are aligned with Empowered Wealth and want to help spread the word to others.
